Jason Emory
The leader of Jazz On Demand, Jason Emory hails from Black Mountain, NC, and is quickly becoming one of the most requested drummers / percussionist in the Denver metro area. Mr. Emory earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree at Northern Arizona University (N.A.U.), and holds an Arizona Teaching Certificate for instrumental music, K-12. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music Performance degree with an emphasis in jazz and commercial music at the University of Denver’s, Lamont School of Music. Mr. Emory is known for his good time, cheesy jokes and versatility on many percussion instruments. His performance credentials include the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra (principal percussionist), the N.A.U. Wind Symphony (principal percussionist), the N.A.U. Symphony Orchestra (principal timpanist), and the Mars Hill College Wind Symphony (principal percussionist). Commercially, Mr. Emory has performed professionally with a variety of entertainment ensembles including jazz combos, big bands, theatres, and popular music groups. He has extensive live and studio recording experience, and records annually for Carl Fischer Music, LLC. He is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and the American Federation of Musicians, local 20-623.
